Three Things Thursday 6-10-21

three candles

Each Thursday I share three goodies. Most are homesteading related, but some are just funny or cute or life-giving. Enjoy!

1 – Foraging Safety

I was wandering around the yard with my DIL and she stopped, picked this little mushroom off the ground, and declared it a shagging mane mushroom. 🙂 I would have walked right by it and not known what to call it (I can identify about five mushrooms safely). My point is, take your time learning, lean on those who know mushrooms, and don’t eat anything you are not 100% sure of.

2 – More Herbs!

Suzan of It’s My Sustainable Life has written a very helpful article about various ways to make more plants through simple propagation techniques. I’m always up for more plants!

3 – It’s My Birthday!

Today is my 64th birthday and I thought I would share my special birthday rule with y’all.

When you are in your fifties you get to celebrate for a whole week. In your sixties, you get to celebrate for a whole month and when you turn seventy you get to party all the time.

There are perks to old age. 🙂 Regardless of your age today, do celebrate something with those you love.

Have a great day! Lori ❤️
